1. Who are we?

We are Korsit B.V. based in Eindhoven.

Your data will be handled with care and adequately secured. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable regulations.

2. What data do we process?

When you apply at Korsit, Korsit processes personal data that may be relevant to the recruitment and selection procedure. This concerns in any case the data as provided by the applicant, including information from CV and motivation letter: first and last name, gender, date of birth, address details, telephone number, e-mail address, possibly a photo if attached, availability, salary indication and data on education and employment history.

3. How do we obtain personal data?

We obtain personal data from the applicant, the employment or recruitment agency engaged by us, sometimes by mail, usually by e-mail or social media platforms such as LinkedIn, and through personal contacts or telephone conversations.

4. What do we process personal data for?

This personal data is used solely for the purpose of a responsible, effective, and efficient recruitment and selection process. We collect and use applicant data:

  • To compare the applicant's data with current vacancies at Korsit;

  • To determine the applicant's suitability for a position within Korsit;

  • Only with permission to include his or her data in a portfolio;

  • For the purpose of communication with regard to the recruitment and selection procedure;

  • To be able to contact the applicant to schedule an interview;

  • To provide the applicant with information about other relevant vacancies;

  • If an applicant is hired, the personal data obtained can be further processed for the execution of the employment contract, including the drafting of the employment contract, for administrative purposes and to introduce the applicant to our organization. This is further subject to the privacy statement for employees.

5. Our legal grounds for processing your data

The processing of your data by us for the aforementioned purposes is subject to the following legal grounds:

  • If you respond to our job offer or within the negotiations concerning such a job offer, the negotiations on contract conclusion or contract performance will serve as the legal grounds for processing of your personal data; 

  • Your personal data may be processed to satisfy any requirement of law;

  • We may also process your personal data based on our legitimate interest in connection with our recruitment activities; or

  • Where no other processing condition is available, if you have agreed to us processing your personal information for the relevant purpose (please note we do not generally process personal data based on consent as we can usually rely on another legal basis).

6. When and how we share personal data and locations of processing

We will only share your personal data if we are legally permitted to do so. When we transfer or share personal data, we put contractual arrangements and security mechanisms in place that comply with our data protection, confidentiality and security standards and applicable laws and regulations.

7. How long do we retain applicant data?

We retain applicant data during and for up to four weeks after the completion of the recruitment and selection process unless explicit consent is given by the applicant to retain his/her data for up to one year longer.

8. Individuals’ rights and how to exercise them

You have certain rights:

  • Right to information and inspection: you can ask us what data we hold and use about you.

  • Right to rectification: do you feel we have incorrect data about you? Please let us know and we will correct it.

  • Right to oblivion: you can ask us to delete the data we have and use about you. In most cases we will comply with this request.

  • Right to restriction: if you believe that we are processing your data unlawfully or incorrectly, you can also ask us to stop using your data until we have investigated the matter properly.

  • Right of objection: you can object to the use or storage of your data. 

  • Right to transfer: you can request us to transfer the data we process on your behalf.

We want you to be in control of your personal data. You can request a data correction or request to be deleted from our database.

9. Security of your data

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your data against loss and against unlawful use. We constantly keep up to date with the current state of technical security of personal data and will make every effort to prevent personal data from being lost or used illegally.
